Does your pet need to be spayed or neutered?

We are happy to provide those services! Before we can schedule the surgery, we need to set up an appointment with one of our doctors to make sure your pet is healthy and ready for the surgery. There is a fee for this Pre Surgical exam. During the Pre Surgical exam, we would also update any required vaccines and testing. Vaccines for dogs include: Rabies, Distemper/Parvo and Bordetella. For cats: Rabies and FVRCP. While your pet is here for their exam, we may also recommend pre-anesthetic lab work. This lab work is required for all surgical patients. The pre-anesthetic blood screen is done to assure safety during surgery as well as the ability for your pet to heal following surgery.  The total for this Pre Surgical visit can range in price depending on your pets health and age, but is generally $150-$285. If you have any questions about the surgical procedure, please refer to our page "Surgical FAQ's"

How much will it cost?

Since you have adopted from Walton County Animal Control, we do offer a 20% discount that applies to the spay/neuter procedure and the anesthesia only (does not apply to any additional services or products). The surgery cost varies by weight of the pet. For a spay procedure the estimate is $360-$500. For a neuter, the estimate is $340-$480. When you come in for the exam and lab work, we are happy to provide an estimate for the surgery.

Does your pet need a Rabies Vaccine?

The first step would be to set up an appointment to have an exam with one of our doctors. While your pet is getting an exam, the doctors can also administer a Rabies Vaccine. The examination fee is currently $78 and the Rabies Vaccine is $30.25. Each Walton County Animal Control adoption includes a Rabies Voucher for $15 off. You must provide the WCAC Rabies Voucher to receive the discount. Any cost above $15 is the responsibility of the pet owner. The voucher is good for 30 days from the date of issuance.
